Selling your home in the winter is not such a bad idea. I always suggest avoiding the mid December to after New Years listing as it usually slows down for the holidays. People are thinking about friends and family and are spending time in malls and shopping for gifts instead of homes.
This last winter however I saw quite a few houses come on the market and sell very quickly. Actually, just the other day there was multiple offers on a house my buyers were hoping to purchase. We know that there are buyers out there and the inventory is low, so it would appear we are in a seller's market. Not a bad time to sell at all!
Besides, there isn't anything prettier than fresh snow on a sunny winter day. Your home can look just as inviting and give a wonderful first impression by following some tips I found in this article from "Style at Home". If you are considering putting your home or cottage on the market this winter, have a read and give me a call. I would love to chat with you.
